Plan to attend the Pride Festival in downtown Athens on September 29, 2019. Pflag Athens Area will have a booth. Come visit. https://www.athenspride.org/

QMed’s Michael “Luke” Lucas, NP will attend our August PFLAG meeting on 8/18 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. to answer any questions you might have regarding the medical aspects of gender transition.

There will be a pop-up clinic in Athens on August 17th and QMed is currently scheduling appointments for the day through their website. QMed is a compassionate resource for transgender and non-binary kids, teens, and adults. QMed provides telemedicine hormone therapy to patients across the Southeast, following in-person intake appointments at their clinic in Atlanta or at regional Pop-Up clinics. www.queermed.com

In partnership with Athens Pride Queer Collective, PFLAG Athens Area will host a discussion circle during the LGBTQ+ youth group meeting time. We will meet separately from the youth group to have a free and open conversation between family members, parents, individuals, and LGBTQ+ allies. We added a session this month.
