How does it feel when your mom prays for you to be someone else? That’s the struggle this 16-year-old transgender Latina faces.
A Q&A with the filmmaker in the Ciné Lab will follow the screening, after which there will be an informal reception. Athens PFLAG Board & local PFLAG members will be on hand to provide attendees with information about local LBGTQI+ resources, such as local LGBTQI+ youth groups, parent support groups and local therapists. Door prizes will be awarded after the discussion, such as LGBTQI+ flags, PFLAG stickers, LOVE IS LOVE Queer Eye mugs, hand-dyed face masks and more!
