FAMILY/FRIENDS/ALLIES Discussion group (18 and older)
PFLAG conducts a discussion group meetings every month in the Athens, GA area. Meetings are FREE to attend. All are welcome – lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and parents, families, and straight allies are invited. You are also welcome to bring someone who can support you – a spouse, relative, friend, or neighbor. This meeting is 18 and older.
Who Should Attend
Parents, family, and friends who are dealing with the news of a loved one coming out, as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender people are all encouraged to attend our support group meetings. If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender and would like to come out to your family and friends and are looking for ways to come out, this is an excellent place to get support and ideas that have worked for others. All are welcome, especially those new to PFLAG.
YOUNG ADULT Discussion group (18-30’s)
PFLAG conducts a discussion group meeting every month in the Athens, GA area for young adults. Meetings are free to attend.

We will meet separately from the youth group to have a free and open conversation between family members, parents, individuals, and LGBTQ+ allies. All are welcome, especially those new to PFLAG. The young adult group encourages participants to come dressed in costumes for Halloween or take a risk and come dressed in a new way for you.
These are our last groups for the 2025 year. We are not hosting groups during November or December for holiday breaks. If we decide to have a pop-up get-together, we will send the word out.
